I completely agree with the statement about the keywork, Loree does make the most elegant keywork of any of the major brands.
WRT the tuning, it's true that improvements can be made but I think there's always a trade-off on these notes, or at least I've never played on an oboe where the E, F and F# were all right in the middle of the tuner in both octaves without making some adjustments (I don't think I'd know how to play such an oboe :-). I think we mostly get used to aiming a little lower for the middle D and E and a little higher for the F and F#.
For any of the notes, depending on what's going on around us, we have to make adjustments up and down, it's just a matter of finding an instrument that lets us do that (or that can be made to do that by a good technician).
