You really ought to avoid Bundy/other elementary school oboes with basic keywork. There are no bargains in oboes, I'm afraid, and you really do get what you pay for. Of course, if all you want to do is play around with it, a cheap-o instrument will at least allow you to learn most of the fingerings. But if you plan on any degree of proficiency, at least consider a recent-vintage Yamaha or Fox oboe. And just because an oboe is made of wood doesn't make it good.
That being said, I played a Selmer Signet in high school (until I got a Loree for Christmas!) This would have been in the mid to late 70s. I thought it did pretty well, but it did not have a left F. Other than that, it wasn't bad for a student oboe. I think these days , Yamaha has stepped into those shoes....
I played a Bundy in elementary school, and that thing should have been melted down. Total junk.
