Hey Susan,
I just found this site, and I feel sorry that I didn't do that before, amazing, just to share sometimes problems even and to know you are not alone with these, because when I read your message it was like finding me somewhere there. Just everybody would do, this is so unprofessional what your director is trying to do and your are heaven blessed if you can laugh, the best medicine, definately!
Just keep on, I think those experiences are important too...although it's simply just stupid....
If you enjoy the work with them beside from such exeptions keep on, otherwise do what you enjoy, playing oboe can be hard enough, we don't need those people to make such a beautiful thing even more stressing that it is!
