I've been practicing 16-count long tones starting at Foghorn Bb and working my way up to Squeaky C, and
every.
single.
one
of those notes has a different timbre. It's sometimes subtle, but it's there, and I can hear it.
I find it fascinating, actually.
So it's probably not a Good Thing, though, eh? Bespeaks a lack of reed control? Ah well...
