And with the micro bevel, I don't have to trade frequency of sharpening for ease of scraping: as long as the metal is hard, I get them both.

When I used Vitry knives (no attack on people who like them), I was frustrated by 2 things:
1. it would loose its edge in seconds, I could count the strokes
2. I could not get rid of burrs --- the big kind, in my definition of the word: those you could see with your naked eye! These burrs would actually fold back and forth with very little force: how can that be good for scraping?

By using fine ceramic stones on hard metal, the easy wrist flick (finger flick, actually) is enough to do what I want and the blade lasts for the duration of at least a whole reed work. For reed re-work (i.e. adjustment), one fine honing will keep my folding Graf good for the tips and heart for several days. (For me several days = several weeks, because I don't get the chance to do as many as most of you!)

Best of luck for those of you from the tornado-hit states. Here, we got bad gusting winds that uprooted trees, ripped-out fences and de-shingled roofs, but nothing catastrophic.
