Well, I'll clarify.
At first, I was just trying to explain that the sharpening methods you use on other tools aren't the best for reed knives. As you may recall, I referred you to several inexpensive and readily-available resources, because these things are better illustrated than described.
But you're not interested in learning. You wrote, "People are buying books on the subject… and still getting it wrong!" And now you're trying to teach us what you've never bothered to learn.
So, at this point, I'm more concerned that kids might read this thread and mistake your confidence for competence. You see, whereas your livelihood is software engineering, mine (part of it, anyway) is oboe instruction. And that means I have the unpleasant task of teaching knife sharpening to students who are getting contrary advice from grandpas, favorite uncles, scout leaders, etc.
Currently, my purpose in this dialogue is to point out your unfamiliarity with basic reed knife terminology, and to steer aspiring reedmakers toward better resources.
Plus, this is fun. :-) I call it "The Jon Stewart School of Oboe Forum Debate."

You can post or not, as you please. But I'll continue to debunk as I see fit. It's nothing personal. You seem like a good guy, and I'm sure you're a fine software engineer. But you should take the time to learn about reed knife sharpening before you attempt to teach it.
