My vibrating sander experiment is ongoing, but round 1 ended with my knife looking a lot like James Edward Olmos...:) I could forgive the ugly if only it would scrape as well as he can act.

Despite my current and long-time burr habit, I think I'll try a knife your way and see if I can get a couple reeds between sharpenings... that has a lot of appeal.

This I'll use the Ando knife for that, and MUST REMAIN PATIENT, remain patient, remain patient...

Live and learn.

I am also trying sand paper sharpening on a couple knifes, but finish with ceramic stick, so I think the saw teeth are going away in the process.

I have done tips and tip edges using silicone paper, but prefer the knife. It seems to be a livelier reed that way.

Also still refining the Speedy Sharp techniques and things are improving there as well.
