Right, I could only find Howarth oboes to weigh this morning, there weren't any Loree, Marigaux or Rigoutat oboes to weigh, so here's what I compiled (all in grammes, and all blackwood unless stated otherwise):
Student/intermediate oboes:
S10 - 573g
S20 - 605g
S20c will be heavier than the S20, but not as heavy as...
S40c - 670g
S45c will be heavier than the S40c, but not as heavy as...
Pro oboes:
S5 - 696g
XL - 765g
(Kingwood and cocobolo will be lighter)
D'amore:
XL in cocobolo - 788g
(Kingwood and blackwood will be heavier, S5 d'amores will be lighter - yeah I know that's not the correct plural of d'amore!)
Cors Anglais (English Horns):
S20c - 1015g
(S20 will be lighter and S40c will be heavier)
XL:
- with low Bb barrel - 1145g
- without low Bb barrel - 1098g
XL in cocobolo:
- with low Bb barrel - 1087g
- without low Bb barrel - 1047g
(Kingwood will be heavier than cocobolo, but lighter than blackwood)
Now convert this lot into pounds and ounces!
