I ought to weigh some oboes (of as many different makes and models I can find) next time I'm in the factory to see how thet compare.
I'm surprised the weight of any instrument isn't included in the specification charts of most makers, as it's definitely a factor that shouldn't be overlooked.
But I feel the overall balance of the instrument is more important than the weight - take an oboe with a heavy bell - it's physically hard work to play on one of these for hours at a time, but if it's balanced nicely it's not a struggle. I found this when I tried my teacher's old Marigaux - it felt like it had someone leaning on the bell, and the strain on my right thumb and forearm was incredible, no wonder she's suffering with arthritis after playing on this oboe for well over 30 years! Though it's a lovely oboe, it's too heavy for ly liking. Surprising since I play pretty heavy clarinets (full Boehms) and soprano sax without a sling.
You want an oboe that tips the reed towards you rather than away from you when held by the right hand only.
