I was told when I got it that it is an Armstrong(serial numbers match up to the 1960s). I really have no idea for sure since the bell is not original and there are no markings on the body other than the serial numbers.
The horn truly is bad, barely playable, I didn't pay much at all for it, and I figured I might as well get it in as good shape as I could. I bought it to see if I really, really do want to get back to playing after 35 years. It's been two months and I am ready to start looking for a "real" oboe because I have found that I DO want to re-learn.
