I am starting to take lessons with the oboe. From talking with wwbw reps, I am convinced that my soon to be Barrington model 801 is a wise decision. I grew up and studied piano and vocal. But from the oboists I have talked to, including my teacher, she seems to like the review and recommendations of the Barrington as a starter oboe, working up to a full pro model upgrade in the future.
