... welcome to the club!!! ... it's really tough to get left E-flat fingering technique ... presume you're right handed like most of us? think that's major part of the problem right there ... lefties, tell us, is it really any easier for you?
I actually have to rotate my wrist upwards a bit for this one ... not specifically recommending this, just stating what I have to do to get my short pinky "over there" ... and there isn't any cure other than ... practice, practice, practice!
... what works for me are daily REPS up to "V - VIII" times each
... every day at the same time tips off brain you're in "programming" mode
... do technical exercises such as ... right Db, left Eb, left Forked F, back to right Db, etc (or right Db to left Forked F by itself)
... EMPHASIS ON ACCURACY rather than speed ... very very important ...
you're programming your fingers & brain to do it right every time
... then practice the actual music ACCURATELY, use flex tempo if necessary and repeat several times (later on, when it's happening, reinforce correct rhythm & tempo by reps with that)
... then repeat the technical exercise
... do that kind of combo rep work several times per practice session
... stop for today, repeat same thing tomorrow
After ... um ... awhile! ... of slow and accurate reps, it'll begin speeding up for you automatically ... and ho-boy, does it ever feel good when you ace it !!!
