Author: kelloboe  Date:   2005-06-15 14:02 I feel your pain!!! I have been bogged down on the Alt-Eb fingering for three weeks! I haven't consulted the fingering guides to see if there is an alternate to the alternate. I have cheated and used the standard Eb fingering because I feel I can move back and forth between it and Db with more ease. My teacher told me that I shouldn't fudge on it but has moved me on (we do come back to it when I'm more relaxed - seems to help). I am also having problems a little further on in that book with the low F natural to the C natural. I did consult the fingering guide and have found that there are other fingerings to assist with that interval. How I look at all of this in this way - at one point I had trouble moving from middle C to D but now that comes with ease. Now I am having trouble moving from Alt-Eb to Db and low F to low C. As I play, I have faith that it will come with ease too. Keep playing.
