To my eye, the #3 is WIDER than #2 (as well as a little longer). I think that's what I posted (above). I don't have a #1, so can't comment on it.
I used my #3 tonight in performance on a piece my quintet has that features the English Horn. It projected like a house on fire, and was very rich -- and I did not have any trouble with the high notes, all the way up to the (regular) high B. The intonation was also superb with the reed I was using.
