No, the two instruments I tried (one of which I bought) were regular Loree EHs, but frankly, what matters most to me is how an individual instrument plays. A Royal would have been nice to make a matched set with my oboe, but I have been told that the difference between a regular and Royal EH is not as great as between regular and Royal oboes. However, I would have liked to try a bunch of Royal EHs just to see for myself. But I am delighted with the instrument I found! Cheers...
