I "found" this Loree English horn appear on eBay. Nice pictures.

Bidding started at $1.00 (no reserve) on 7/18. Yesterday (7/19), it was around $1,200, and today it's currently at $3,250 with 8 days to go. I expect bidding will level off, soon, for several days, and pick up again close to the end of auction.

Anyway, the point is the resale value of a Loree horn is a factor I overlooked.

I don't plan to bid, because I want to try before buying.
