When I was in the market for Oboes I played more than 10 oboes before making a decision.

One thing which helped me ....was that I knew the Oboe Tone.

I already owned a few Oboes and I was ready for a change from my Loree.

So I also knew what I didn't want in the sound and feel of the instrument.

Starting from scratch with no multiple oboe experiences is much more difficult.

Remember ... even if you choose one now ... as you develop your oboist skills you can always trade again.
