My mind is spinning right now. I though I had the right instrument a day ago, and then I played her's, and liked her's. There are a couple factor changes where we tried both instruments together in a really resonant high school auditorium with square angles and concrete. I've been trying all these instruments in my room. But truthfully, I may be playing the instrument in more of a "my bedroom" type scenario, cause modern pits are changing to backstage, and own room with mic type scenarios.
We had two shows yesterday, and we tried the oboes in between shows, and had to sit through the whole show with the feeling, not being able to play the oboe cause I was on the Reed 1 book. Just a tough performance.
I did however feel my flute playing was in tip top shape, and was glad for that. However, I need a long day of oboe today.
