I am indeed happy with the sound. I asked the question - only to investigate other possibilities - ...................... since the construction of Marigaux might require something indifferent; i.e. ak staples, dm staples, etc.............................
I have very happy and intrigued with this instrument. It radiates a glowing warmth - it has both flexibility and stability.
I will post more on my comparisons to my Loree at a later date. It is a very different experience. I still need to play the instrument more with different styles of music..
