Hi
I spent years trying to find a decent reasonably priced case for my oboe and cor anglais (english horn). In the end I bought a solid aluminium and hardboard case as used for photographic equipment. I bought some dense foam from a local market, cut it to fit body of the case and the lid. Then I arranged the instruments in the case, marked around them and then cut the foam using a soldering iron with a knife blade, this helps to seal the foam and stops bit falling off. It takes the instruments, reeds, sling etc.
I have used this for well over twenty years and have had no problems at all. It was so successful that I bought a larger case and made a triple case for oboe, cor anglais and oboe d'amore.
So if you cannot find a commercial case do try the DIY route. It costs a lot less and you can customize it to your own requirements.
Good luck
Leigh
