I also ordered a Pro-Tec case after reading this thread. It's built like a tank and I don't mind the heft....but, I'm afraid to use it and am thinking of returning it. The reason is that the slot for the middle joint is fairly shallow and leaves the left hand F key of my Loree horn high off the bottom surface, so that when the case is closed a lot of pressure would be brought to bear against it. The F pad has no play since it is pressed against the side of the slot. I'm afraid the F key will bend under the pressure. I suppose I could assume that this thing must be well designed since there are lots of people using it...perhaps there's enough give in the top half cushion to securely hold the middle joint without too much pressure, and maybe the foam will conform to the key instead of the other way around so I'd be left with a very secure fit. But it doesn't look good to me. So...what do the other folks who have bought this case think?
