In my opinion, pre-binding does not help at all if say the pre-binded cane is overlapped. In the past i have done pre-binding but have given up after realizing that good tying eliminates this procedure.
Mr. Fabrice, very nice of you to join in our discussion. My question is, when you insert a piece of cane into the guide, should the blades sit exactly on each other or should one blade be tucked into the other ("overlapped" but on the same sides, meaning top blade in bottom/bottom in top on both sides)? Either ways, how can that be checked after the piece of cane is set on the guide?
Regards,
Howard
