Would you consider starting a new thread on this topic?

Angle of reed Vs. overlap and the implications therein. Your note on the impact of the opening is very interesting.

I tried that last couple days and find it opens up the sound a bit and also lowers the pitch a bit.

I would be interested in hearing how you approach tongueing in this arrangement.

I find I hit the reed further up on the side of the tongue and the effect is rather desirable...

How do you see these things?

(BYW, I enjoy your methodical approach to these discussions very much. They are scientific and thorough.)
