... maybe should rename the technique 'half-hole cap drop' ?

my understanding of the 'finger-drop' technique is that L1 doesn't lose contact with half-hole cap at all, the half hole is covered over while simultaneously releasing cap so it rises whatever space it lifts, and so yes, half-hole D cap has to be adjusted just right so it will play a decent D' either way
