Ah yes, notice the additional mechanism under the C# pad linking over to the B pad, which we're all now calling the B/C# link, are we?

Hm, this oboe illustration doesn't have additional low B-flat vent, are some brands better tuned at low B-flat than others?

Auxiliary C key (banana key) ... several folks mentioned it's not very useful, and this picture says it simplifies C to C#, so wouldn't that be assuming one's got Left C# on the oboe? -- which this picture unfortunately doesn't show -- can't see my pinky leveraging Right C# and banana key, surely it's easier to do Basic C & C#?

Without the Left C#, could see banana key mildly useful as rapid D-C-D turn-around, or C-F interval in keys 3+ flats when using Left F's and Left E-flats, and as a C grace note or turn key maybe, or ?
