usually it takes me about 20 minutes to half an hour to be rolling on the highway. depends.... i think the preparation of the reed itself is important too. and over here in malaysia where its hot 24 7 almost entire time of the year with high humidity, you can imagine. at this time its mostly raining, and i find the oboe very very sensitive to temperature. so that affects the whole feel of the resistance of the oboe plus intonation.
