I realize that you are a beginner to playing the oboe, but I don't think it's too early to start thinking about intonation.
I am a professional with many years of playing and teaching experience. When I am at home working on my oboe, I always keep my tuner on and am constantly checking myself. Tuners have become so inexpensive that you should definitely own one. You can pick one up for around $20. Korg makes one that's about the size of a cassette tape or maybe a little smaller. I think the model number is CA-30.
I do not bother with reeds that play sharp.
Your embouchure should not be too tight. This will cause you to get tired very quickly, and play sharp. A tight embouchure will also make it more difficult to play with a rich sound.
