After brain surgery in 1995 caused me to have a small stroke affecting my right hand and leg (I AM right-handed, too) the physical therapist had me squeezing small rubber balls. That was really boring. So, I started doing counted cross stitching. That worked really well. The only time anyone can notice there is a problem is when I am over-tired. Maybe those hand-strengthening devices would help/ You know the ones that have the heavy-duty spring on them. Here's a website that gives some other possible exercises for the hand:
