i think rehashes are a very good thing, the process itself is part of moving on mentally, example, point form is clarity compared to rambling paragraphs, yes?
rephrasing is often much more enlightening when another year or so of practical experience has occured in between, that much works well for me at any rate
also good when new people who don't know yet keep joining the board, that freshens up interest among established enthusiasts overall
rehashing also offers opportunities to drop old dated material on an annual or biennial basis instead of clinging on to it, that renews the board's (and individual) vitality
especially good because it allows collective consciousness to gradually evolve a common consensus, emphasis on evolve, instead of remaining static, this encourages challenging and then shedding some of those hallowed mythological traditions of the past that don't serve well in modern times, and that's always refreshing
