"Blow and suck". Take the top joint off, then block the bottom of it with your finger, and hold down the keys so it's airtight. Then open the 2nd octave key, and blow, and suck. You can mop up any unsightly residue with cigarette paper.
I'm guessing you're in a heavily air-conditioned venue? The best thing that helps me is prevention. Keep the top joint warm in your armpit any time you aren't actually playing.
