I wanted to add that I know someone who has treated cigarette type paper slightly thicker, so it doesn't bend so easily) that he puts under the octave keys or any other problem keys every time he puts the oboe away. I'll have to ask him what the paper is treated with. I guess it's supposed to help draw the moisture up into the paper, or something like that.
