definitely students are not encouraged to purchase such oboes in that range for now.......they are just too expensive to be a beginner instrument and since there are still uncertainties you should not consider them for now.
rigoutat, renard(fox), yamaha are the best in intermediate models.
DO NOT buy 'student' models. They often lack too much of what is needed.
Also you should check for the features available and what should not be ommited in a beginner oboe. There always some exceptions though.
Fox produces mid ranged priced student oboes which pla incredibly well.
