well....using the trill on a sixteenth note passage doesn't seem so risky...same as forked F! Also, Holliger's tone is not his forte to begin with. J., you may be right that others don't hear the difference between forked F and reg. F, at least not enough to matter - I'll have to try that experiment sometime...in my experience, others often can't tell when I'm playing on two different reeds that sound worlds apart to me, so it could be.
