Wow seems like I'm the only Europeean on this site!
If any of you can get your hands on it, there is a current French player called Francois Leleux who has done some fabulous recordings of the Telemann fantasies. Also Mourice Bourg (I'm not sure if he is still alive).
Incidentally, Goosens was my 1st oboe teacher's teacher (she is now 85!) and I have never heard a recording of his but must dig one out. If his tone and pitch are really that bad it will give us all hope for the future!
