Except that if it doesn't crow a C, it might still be in tune, and if it does crow a C, it might be out of tune.
For me, the more important aspect of the crow isn't the pitch, because I get a lot of good reeds that crow a B rather than a C, and they're more often sharp rather than flat. More important is that if it's not a crow, but a nice toot, then it's out of balance, and more needs to be taken out of the back, or the tip needs to be shortened.
