hi-
im a sophomore in highschool, and am very interested in learning to play oboe. i can skillfully play both clarinet and flute, but am much more proficient in flute, since i have not played clarinet since seventh grade. my mom wants me to rent an oboe before we purchase one to make sure i like it. i plan to take lessons from a oboeist with the Chattanooga Symphony and Orchestra. during marching season i will still play my flute. Are there any helpful hints for switching from flute to oboe, and what brand and strength would you reccomend for oboe reeds. i was playing on a 2.5 vandoren clarinet reed if that matters.
