I hate to tell you, but any oboe is going to be heavier than what you have...the 4051 lacks some keywork that the full-conservatory horns have, and if you upgrade, you will be playing an oboe with much more metal on it.

Perhaps you should consider getting one of the Loree Dutch thumb rests installed, or perhaps (as I use on my clarinets) a Kooiman thumb rest? They do WONDERS to alleviate thumb pain/wrist tension when you're playing.
