the funny thing is that one of the first orchestras there Loree Royale was used was...Berliner Philharmoniker .And the oboist was Hansjorg Schellenberger.
This model was build on a basis of Loree DM -german bore-the darkest among any Lorees.The target was to combine war ,deep tone with ease and maximum of projection.
Everybody probably knows that Loree has more projection than any other oboe, thats why it's so used in large american symphony's
Before swiching to Loree , Schellenberger used as almost all german players Marigaux.
Also interesting fact that Schellenberger in now days almost the only european soloist who uses Loree Royale,only another two names I can mention Is Nicolas Daniel and Alexei Utkin.
Good oboe if it happens to choose one out of 20. Pretty high crack record.
Not so high as Marigaux.Fits good with american reed,cost about $7500
I personally bprefer another brands, Laubin, Buffet Greenline, Marigaux M2
