I have a Laubin, #862, that I have been playing since I was 16 years old, and that was 41 years ago! I know people say that oboes are only good for a handful of years, but in this case they are very wrong. This is the sweetest instrument on the face of the earth and is like a part of my body. I am not a professional and as such it does not get the hard workout that a professional's might, but she still sings like a silver bird. She is priceless.
