Currently, I know of two newer used Laubins: the one owned by the National Opera Oboist Igor Leschishin, and the one at Weber reeds. Both are asking for around that number.
I tried both because a student of mine was interested in what Laubins felt like and was looking to buy one. The one from Leschishin requires a lot more air, and is on the flatter side. I preferred the one from Weber Reeds, which has a lot more "ring" to it, and is an extraordinary Laubin (perhaps one of the best Laubins I've ever played).
If someone was looking for a Laubin specifically, I guess I'd recommend that one. My student, on the other hand, decided that the $4000 difference between his AK and the Laubins wasn't worth it, and a month later he bought Lou Rosenblatt's 3 year old Royal, also sold on commission by Weber Reeds.
