Well, someone brought a plastic Linton oboe to me recently with an identical break. The owner said it fell off a chair, but I suspected that perhaps someone sat on it. My recommendation for such an oboe was to sell it on the auction site for parts, as it would not be worth much even if repaired. However, if I owned it and really needed to use it, I would use very strong epoxy to glue it back together and make sure the cork was not too tight, being very careful when assembling.

Ten years ago, I owned a plastic Riac oboe that was glued back together by someone with epoxy similarly and it was a great playing instrument with a wonderful sound and tuning. It cost me only $35 because of the repair but it played like a very fine instrument. Later, it was sold after I bought a new Loree. Good luck!
