Such a sad situation! Have you tried to contact Buffet? As I see it, there should be warranty from them, even if the shopkeeper (?) in Germany isn't willing or able to provide it. Based on reasonable expectation, a professional oboe should offer better quality than you're getting right now.

In such anxious situations, I make a real effort to stay calm, and send an urgent but reasonable mail to the producer and see what they come up with. I expect Buffet to have a good global warranty on their products. It's their reputation that's on the line as well, and this specific problem is well known and documented. I tend not to rely on shopkeepers alone.

I agree with Chris P that the summertime in this part of Europe is generally reserved for vacations. Many people travel abroad or go camping for weeks. This is very different from the East.

Is it perhaps possible to get a spare oboe, to reduce the dependency on this one?

I sure hope it gets solved satisfactory in the foreseeable future.
