Hello all,
I know this thread is old. But I thought it's still worth an update.
As some of you might know by now, it's no longer "each man to his own" and play what you feel like. I have been fortunate to study the very original manuscript at the Bibliothèque National in Paris and edit the New Edition of the Martinu Concerto together with my dear teacher and mentor - Prof. Maurice Bourgue.
The Oboe & Piano Reduction edition was published in 2008, followed by a study score and new orchestral parts, which I personally laid out, in 2010.
The debut of the new edition took place at the IDRS conference in Oklahoma, June 2010 with Nicholas Daniel Playing and myself conducting.
See my website for more information and buy the new edition anywhere - from Amazon to any sheet music dealer.
Best.
