Well, yes I admit to simplifying this a bit. But provided aki700007 has a well adjusted oboe of decent make I am pretty convinced this boils down to a reed problem. As we know no two reeds are alike, and within reason an experienced oboist will know how to compensate for these differences by embouchure control. This cannot be expected of aki700007 who is a beginner. The problem of playing up to pitch on a reed that will wobble is even for the experienced hard to get around by embouchure control only. Adjusment of the reed, or indeed a more suitable reed will be a far better solution.
