not at all situations i suppose, that sounds like summing up all the problems into one simple solution, not really a good way to think of it. I like to accept different kinds of ideas. since how the reed is made and the style itself may well oppose to what you said about it being only a reed problem. for example, most american style players hold the oboe quite low because they emphasize on a very relax posture, but thats almost an impossible thing to do on the german style of playing. so its quite awkward you see. haha....nice piece of advice anyways.
