OK, other ideas for consideration, those reed dimensions play for you at *** lower*** altitudes as good as ... ? Perhaps the standard variables might need to specify sea level to 2500 ft (arbitrary choice), and another set of altitude variables higher up?
Maybe there's an atmospheric layer or atmospheric air pressure in millibars that can be determined to be an average standard transition zone for standard / shorter tubes, narrower & more arched cane / wider and flatter cane? or tube throat openings for that matter?
Fox advertises its oboes as being tested A440 at 72F temperature, what's the in-mouth average operating temperature for reeds?
