Reed dimensions and the golden mean

Third in a series of provocative questions,...( partly Andy Rooney partly Jerry Seinfled at times, but perhaps some value lies beneath.)

Has anyone studied the oboe reed in search of patterns aligned with the golden mean or fibonacci series?

Look at some of the natural examples. Amazing stuff.

Something in this naturally occuring pattern and sequence may hold information useful to reed making.

I did start analyzing numbers related to just the reed as I make it, but now also think reed Vs. total oboe length is meaningful... as the spiral closes perhaps it loops across meaningful demarcations wehere we tend to place tip, heart, and the back of the scrape. I see some relationship to the golden rectangles as they shrink with the closing spiral.

I have no idea how to take this two-dimensional concept and make it 3D much less how that would intract with our conical bore.

Any math geniuses out there?
