The book mentioned in the May 15th, 2007 post on this topic is:
Acoustical Aspects of Woodwind Instruments, 2nd Edition. C.J. Nederveen. copyright 1998, Northern Illinois University Press. Dekalb, Illinois. ISBN 0-87580577-9
There is the 1969 edition to which was added an entire section called Addendum: Developments since 1969. It explains a lot.
Dimensional measurements for straight and conical bores for actual instruments, plus calculations for multiple tone holes are given as well as treatments of reed excitation. There are tables, graphs and drawings to help illustrate the study. I am not aware of a later edition.
It's worth a look! I think it could be helpful in comparing shapes of staples, and may have already been a factor in shaping some of the new alternative designs.
Warning: It's not leisure reading . . .
