I've had private lessons before way back for awhile until my teacher had to go back to school. From there on I adjusted my accordingly to the band so I wouldn't stick out too much. Though, from the lessons I didn't really get to learn about embouchure but the mere basics. For awhile there hasn't been any actual oboists offering lessons until recently since hardly anyone wants to play the oboe where I'm at. I'm hoping to find someone soon!

I know really! Some people don't realize the melodic beauty of the sound the oboe can make, which is part of the reason why I chose the instrument in the first place.
