... OK Ken, can save 'stripped' tubes, but don't know any local baroque oboist yet. To answer my question though, will cork-stripped oboe reed tubes work for E-horn (to make new reeds on them), or are they emergency use only (using oboe reed directly on E-horn)?
... to remove cork from tube, i soak it all first in some isopropanol, helps soften the adhesive and sterilizes inside tube at same time ready for storage
... what kind of yarn is used for baroque tubes?
